This is a floor standing lamp. It has a frosted acrylic inner and a smoked, striped acrylic diffuser, these pair together to create a soft light tone. It is adjustable at the base (35° from vertical) and at the neck of the shade (90° from vertical) to allow for both practical and decorative use.
